Hi folks,

Greetings from warm-to-sunny Sydney!

Just a quick intro to say I got a killer deal on a used/mint '03 flame-maple BSRM5 a few weeks ago, so I finally entered the Smith fraternity and am having a blast getting to know my new PRECIOUS. :) It's already proven itself to be a fantastic purchase and a killer bass, possibly even the best sounding bass for the buck I've owned so far....

I guess the question which springs to mind, is, why did I waste so much time and money on various Alembic basses over the years, when the expressive and funky sound I was looking for, is inherent in *every* Smith bass?!?!?! :) Um, oops!

Pics soon, as my wife (the photographer in the family) has just returned from a trip away, with the good camera. :)

Cheers,

Justin

I'm guessing that Jim is a neighbour in an old TV show?

Well, gaw lee. Good ole boy Jim Nabors. Loved by millions as Gomer Pyle from Mayberry with Sheriff Andy Griffith, and then on to be Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C. with Sargent Carter. I knew that I couldn't get Ole Gom by you Richard. :)
