With many choices out there what do you guys think is the bass way to keep basses.

-Wall mount hanging by the neck?
-Ground Racks, stacking them side by side?
-Individual stands with or without neck support?

I have a fairly large music studio and It seems I have all these systems. I just want to make sure aside from the curse of the unavoidable dings, I am not storing them in a way that would damage the necks.

Any suggestions,preferences?

Thanks,
Emre

In a Case maybe unless you need them on display?

I wanted to keep them available as I have a lot of musicians come visit and I like for them to just pick an instrument and start playing.

Is the rubber on guitar stand / wall hanging can damage oil or lacquer finish of Smith bass?

My bass damaged by clipped tuner, I clipped the tuner to headstock a few times, and oil finish damaged by rubber on the clip. :(

honestly my smith stays in it's case unless I'm playing it, when I'm playing and not actually using that bass, it hangs by the headstock/neck on a hercules stand.

Yep, in the original case and stored upright is best when not in use. Also, a humidity controlled (as much as possible) environment is a good thing as well.
