I just thought I'd post this odd bridge contraption that I found. It has metal discs that the feet ( screws ) are meant to sit on !!!!

Nice way to ruin a real bass. Put that in the garbage and get a real bridge, maple.

:D yep , for the trash for sure , but it's interesting nevertheless what contraptions have come and gone in the past (for good reason) .

odd indeed, I have seen a few bluegrass playere us a tripod bridge made out of metal.

Whoever makes them probably got the idea from the tripod string lifter that looks similar but heavier. IMO either is useless a utters on a bore hog, and using the lifter is as awkward as making love through a picket fence.

I wonder if they are even made anymore / the thing looks prehistoric....
