Just saw this on Ebay: an early Smith Fodera (see bridge pics) Anthony Jackson 6. Dead bass walking.

It is not working and is being sold as a 'collectors' item as it is the actual bass Anthony Jackson used and represents the beginning of the Contra Bass Guitar as started by Anthony Jackson.
Part of the lower bout by pick up selector area is missing .

What an understatement.:eek::eek::eek: It needs the body wings remade, attached to the Neck and then refinished and the circuit is missing. You might as well just make a new bass unless you are buying this to hang up on the wall.

And it is very sad indeed. Makes me wonder what happened, you have to work really hard to destroy something that completely.

Ken, does this hurt the craftsman in you? I would be horrified.

Hurts to see it like that.
You would almost have to try to trash it to get it to look like that. :(
