... from the sunny hot Sicily to be more precise.
After 18 years of bass playing, walking (like many) the hard road from crappy instruments to prized boutiques I finally pulled the trigger on a Smith bass.
It's a CR5MW that it's not still in my hands: I bought the bass last week from Bass Central and managed to have it shipped to a friend of mine that's actually spending holidays in the USA. He will bring me the bass on august 13th when he'll be back in Italy. Guess who will go picking him up at the airport ... :D
Yes, I've bought the bass unseen but it has been an educated move based on my past experiences with the basses I owned (there's lot to be learned from our past mistakes), a lot of internet readings and two brief experiences with Smith basses.
But I'm not going to add more here, otherwise I won't have much more to say in my upcoming review of the bass. Stay tuned!
