The description has it as a CRM 6. The body wings appear to have holes drilled through them:eek:. It sounds like a Smith. I was just wondering if this is an altered smith or if it was made like that by Mr. Ken Smith.

No, we didn't put those holes in there. Also, it looks like it's a 4-knob bass/treble model (no mid) made before 1998 (when 5-knobs became standard) and that switch at the end is NOT ours either.

It sounds good and he plays good. I hope he enjoys that bass. If that's what he likes, then so be it. I have no problem with it as long as people know it wasn't us that aerated (http://www.google.com/search?q=airated+lawn&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wi&biw=1024&bih=658) that body.

Good to know Mr. Smith:D. I personally wouldn't do that to a beautiful master piece. I own a BSR6GN wallnut top and bottom, I love the sound and looks of it. Why tamper with a bass that is already perfect for me:cool:
