I picked up a 93 Burner deluxe and wanted to share it with you. It has been used well, or at least the thick grime I cleaned from the fret board made me thinks so. After a major cleaning I find some very nice rosewood hidden there.

It appears to be the 931st Burner made in 93.

The fretboard did clean up well, maybe just a bit more scrubbing..

Great bass, Congrats.
I have the same model but in 4 from 96'. The board is Morado not Rosewood and it looks like you got it cleaned as possible. You won't get rid of these dark strips, they're in the wood.
These are really great basses. Enjoy it.

Indian Rosewood WAS used until we switched to Morado. mainly because they needed the wider boards for the 6s and eventually (can't recall what year) we supplied all the boards in Morado that we sliced up from Lumber in our shop. When we re-issued the Burner in the BSR shape (BSR'B'), we had them go back to Rosewood as the quantity was small.

I can't tell from this picture if it's Morado or Rosewood.

Note: Since there is no section for the old Burners, we can let it sit in this section.

Sorry Ken, wasn't sure where to put it. I will get a better picture of the fretboard for you to see. Regardless it is quite excellent looking and would not matter either way.

Didn't know you used rosewood on Burners.
Here's mine, definitely Morado. It does look lighter in color but the wood grain is very similar from up close. Actually, just got home from a gig with it. It's a beast! Very light too.
