Good try Craig, but I don't think that Mike has ever been elected by a Papal Conclave. Anyway, if Mike were a real pope, he could become known as
Pope Pope and that could look like a mistake on official Vatican documents. It might be prudent not to push this "could Mike be the first bass playing pope" line.

Alto bass? What's that? Even trumpet players don't get into that nonsense! Anyway, Dsus2 is a sissies' chord - if a guy gets to be pope, no matter how sloppy his fingering is (and I agree that it is), he's going to want to make a strong musical statement. After all, a large portion of the world hangs onto his every word. Sorry Kevin, if I come across all 'high and mighty', but a guy of Bene's age who is enjoying his time in the limelight isn't going to tolerate a chord with no 7th. That'd be far too esoteric for him! Craig, you make a very good point. Yes, Amway is the problem because each bass player would have to be supplying strings to another four bass players and so on; until just about everone was sitting around trying to put on bass strings. Obama playing b5 chords? From what I've heard about your new president, he'd probably have no problems improvising diminished scale notes over a minor II - V7 progression or playing a diminished whole tone lick over a 7#5 chord - I think this boy has got the goods!
In the interest of keeping this thread on track though, I'm going to do a bit of redefining:

I'm happy with the idea of John Key not leading a nation. However, we New Zealanders don't like to associated too closely with Australians. It's only seeing that Anselm has a new picture of himself on his post that allows me to stay calm!
