- Upright and electric bass player. MA Graduate of USC Jazz Studies and Dick Grove's CAP and Film/TV composition courses. I first met Ken Smith in NYC in 1978 and have used Smith strings exclusively for 30 years.

- Old european orchestral contrabass w/extension that Ken looked at at the 2019 ISB in Bloomington. Jacquet bass circa 1860-1880. Tyrollean flatback set up for Jazz. "Cello" shaped contrabass. 1960 Fender Jazz bass and 2 Fender Jaguar basses. James Tyler and Yamaha 6-string basses, Yamaha BB5500 5-string. Hecho en Mexico Guitarron, NSD electric upright. Ibanez bass guitar. D'Angelico semi-hollow 4-string with Smith flat-wound strings. PJB, SWR, Hartke, Acoustic Image, Markbass amps.
