About Me
- About Egbert Reulen
- Musical Background
- I Play Bass for more than 20 years and still love it every day. Playing R&B, Blues, Funk, Soul, Rock in several Bands. Sometimes also all style during Jam sessions.
- Location
- Loosdrecht, The Netherlands
- Additional Information
- Try to find the best basses and equipment over the years. Pre-owned amps an cabinets: SWR Redhead, Trace Elliot, Peavy 4x10 and 1x15, SWR Goliath III, Eden 4x10, Glockenklang 4x10 Take 5 and 1x15. Alembic F1-X, Alembic SF-2, Crown K1, Powersoft Digam D4002.
Used Sandberg S1 Bass, G&L, Warwick, Ibanez, Fender P bass 1971, Fender Jazz 1982. - Your Gear
- My main Basses are not for sale:
Ken Smith BT Custom 1977. Love this beast all the time when playing. Fender Jazz Bass USA 1962, Fender Jazz Bass USA 1975 with maple fingerboard. (So much Markus Miller sound if just with the Sadowski pre-amp unit)
My first Bass a orange, fretless Eko Les Paul model
My current Amp. is choosen for portability and flexebillity. I never had before so positive feedback from other bass players for the sound. It fits perfectly into the overall band sound.
My Cabs: Epifani 212 UL 4 Ohm and Epifani 210 UL 8 Ohm.
Amp: Epifani Quest pre-amp and a Lab Gruppen fp3400 Power Amp The perect beast i.m.o. (2 x 1500 Watt at 4 Ohm) Total amp weight is less than 23 Lbs. This is the best I ever owned. The combination of 2x12 and 2x10 with diff. Ohm is no problem because of seprate amps for both cabs. This setup is the best I every had. Better warmth, very clear sound with a lot of punch. For smaller gigs I use just one cab. It is great to walk only one time from my car to the place to be, with all the thinks I need. - Why you joined Ken's Corner
- Love my BT Custom 5 after a search of many years to find the best 5 string intrument.
