- I started playing bass at the ripe old age of nine. And the fact that I was playing Stanley Clarke solos when I was 16 should indicate I'm no spring chicken :-) Over the years I've played with a few bands, did a few things of note, but now it's all about really learning HOW TO PLAY. Like a lot of musicians starting out young, everything I did was memory...no scales, modes or theory...
But now, I have the time to learn what I wish I had known then, AND I have a Ken Smith 6-string along for the ride! - Location
