About Me

  • About ed hauser
    Musical Background
after 3300 gigs i thought i wanted to slow down. so i went back into the army and fly apache attack helicopters. but i do miss playing and probably will do some soon.
    Location
    texas
    Additional Information
my playing has been described as a melange of mark king, victor w and billy s. i worked as much as i did because i can sing a decent tune while i play. lol i dont listen or rather study the style of many players anymore because i found that i started sounding more like them and less like me. what i try to do when i play is throw in something unexpected...a funk line in a country song, or rock scale in a jazz tune. whatever keeps me from getting bored. my favorite moment is when someone comes up after a gig and asks me what that was i played or how i did something passage or run in particular. it always makes me laugh, because i am so in the moment, that 90 seconds later i may not even know what or how i did something.
    Your Gear
ken smith burner 4, kubicki xfactor, alembic series1, spector Euro 4LX-35 and japanese fender jazz plus (all 4 strings, i dont find any more strings particularly useful!). eden wt800 and 550, ebs and hartke cabinets. korg and boss tone modifiers.
