- grew up playing jazz, classical. believe to have been first marching Fender bass player- 1957. First Canned Heat bass player, second Kaleidoscope bass player. Studied Greek/Balkan music in college. Played variety of instruments in folkdance companies and ethnic nightclubs, LA area; Blues, Rock, Armenian, Greek, Persian, Russian, Romanian, Hungarian, Irish, Israeli, South African, etc. bands.
