Agreed. I've been using Eden Bass Amps and cabinets for about the last 12 years. I've probably used just about everything they've made. Very impressive and I am most satisfied with what David N. has created.

Tim,

Very nice collection you have here! When you say 'Birdseye Redwood' do you mean Bubinga? Do you know if there's any kind of Exhibition grade Bubinga?

Best regards

Bubinga? No.

Birdseye Redwood is a very rare wood and Ken only made a few basses with it. In fact, I had never seen this wood used until Ken introduced it with his 20th. Anniversary Models. The KSA6 I had posted is 1 of 3 made. I believe the origin of this wood was California.

I'm not aware of an "Exhibition" or 5A grade of Bubinga. While Bubinga can have a nice figure (some nicer than others), it is a heavier but also great sounding tone-wood.

Tim,

Sorry, now I see that it's completely different from Bubinga . Since I live in Brazil, I'm not familiar with this wood. It's a very beautiful bass indeed! Congrats. ;)

Thanks,
Jose

Thanks Tim,
It is indeed fantastic. I just have to whisper the name of the tune and the bass plays by itself. Incredible! And the tone... I think I've reached the last stop here.

Bob Faulkner 12-15-2010 01:47 PM

Very nice basses guys!

ED LOZANO 12-23-2010 10:29 AM

Ronen, am really diggin' your photography, especially Your bass in front of those cushions. It really brings out the beauty of the bass, which in turn makes me realize the importance of a good background in my pictures. Thanks.
