Heavy....
Quote:
Ebony is a VERY heavy wood (5.5 Lbs. per Bd. Ft.) but oh so worth it! The total weight of the bass probably weighs somewhere in the vicinity of 12 Lbs. Like Ebony, Cocobolo is another VERY heavy wood but my favorite tone wood of all. ;) |

The ebony is not very heavy at all to me but I'm 6'3" 280Ibs so maybe that helps on the weight issue.
attached is a back photo for all interested. |
Beautiful..

I don't think I could cope with 7 strings, 6 is enough for me. But I'd love a BSR6 on that wide body and headstock shape.

:) Greets to all enthusiastic KS users. I've searched a long time for a forum like this...
Here are my 4 KS's: http://www.mrbassman.net/images/Smit..._bsr5eg-01.jpg http://www.mrbassman.net/images/Smit...ict1789_sm.jpg http://www.mrbassman.net/images/Smit...ict1734_sm.jpg http://www.mrbassman.net/images/Webp...ithBT5_web.jpg One more (a BSR5EG fretless similar to the Tiger Maple 5EG above) is on the way. And I'm looking forward to get a Black Tiger Elite in the future. The first one is one of the 4 Collector's Classics and is shown on Ken's webpage here: http://www.kensmithbasses.com/models...medwalnut.html Best regards from Germany. |
