Edgar Meyer (CD)

Hey everybody I just wanted to put a recommendation out there for Edgar's most recent CD entitled Edgar Meyer.

I am personally not an Edgar Meyer fan because I only heard his classical stuff and I feel his classical playing is rather dry. In tune and in time but just lacking a lot of elements.

But his new CD is great. There is a purity in it that is unmatched with any album I own. Meyer wrote all the songs, recorded all the tracks in his home studio and played all the tracks himself. It is a great album with some really great thing, and it really brings out who Edgar Meyer the musician is and takes you away from Edgar Meyer the bassist.

This is a must for any bass player and any music lover. As well as all of his non-classical stuff. There is just something about it that is unmatched.

I've become a real Edgar Meyer fan... check out 'Uncommon Ritual'... check out the violin piece (with the big name) that he plays.
Edgar's good. Very good!
