Hi, Terry here.
I thought I'd better sign in, as seems to be the custom around here. I'm originally from the granite city, Aberdeen, but lately I find myself a little further south.
I play the double bass and probably spend too much time surfing the net for information. More time practising would probably be more productive. I like most forms of music that allow room for a double bass. I originally took up the double bass because some idiot said it looked easy! Well, you live and learn. I've been playing for quite a while now. I look forward to meeting fellow bass players. Cheers. |
Thanks for the welcome Wayne.
Here's a song for you: The Northern Lights of old Aberdeen Mean home sweet home to me The Northern Lights of old Aberdeen Are what I long to see I’ve been a wanderer all of my life And many a sight I've seen God speed the day when l' m on my way To my home in Aberdeen |
A song in reply:
I do not know of another state Where I had rather be Than this great state I'm living in And that is Tennessee. I love the stars dearly And there are surely three That show the Grand Division Of my home-land, Tennessee. Thanks are due to Ms Rorie. |

Did you sleep through Geography at school? Never mind, so did I! My Dunedin is a little further south. And, yeah, playing in Aberdeen could be a bit spooky if you're playing the wrong type of music!:D |
