BSR B Circuit
This may have already been asked, but is it possible to put in the new 3 band circuit into a BSR B? Will it work with the existing pickups?
I assume the BSR B doesn't have the mid frequency dip switches? |

Dip Switch
So the 9V BMT circuit has the DIP switches as well?
And it should fit with drilling another hole for the mid pot/board? Right? Also, what frequencies are available for the mid DIP switches? 200hz to 800hz? |

And it should fit with drilling another hole for the mid pot/board? Right? .. For the 9v unit only. The 18v unit probably will not fit. Also, what frequencies are available for the mid DIP switches? 200hz to 800hz? .. I don't remember exactly as it's been almost 10 years since I chose the frequencies. The Mid boosts and Cuts. I don't think is goes down to 200, that's more of a Bass frequency. It probably starts a bit higher and ends maybe 700-900 but I would have to go back and look up all the notes. I go by sound, not by numbers when I choose a sound, sorry. Regardless, you probably can't put this circuit in your bass any way without major surgery. The 18v model circuit is standard on all regular hand-made Smith USA basses since about 2004. |

Ok, thanks for the info Ken. |
Hey Greg,
I have the BMT 18V on my GN5 and the BMT 9V on my EG6. I really feel the difference is subtle. I would just drop in the Mid board IF I felt I miss anything. I wouldn't go through routing the bass just for the DIP switches and extra battery. My opinion. |
