Come Sunday

I was learning "Come Sunday" and came across Sam Jones with Cannonball Adderley...

I have always appreciated Sam Jones' playing, but you can hear him unusually well here (the mic crammed into the bridge, with some foam around it...).

The Bass I have seen Sam with in the past (and I have played his bass as well) was more of a Bohemian German shop bass. Maybe one of the J.Hornsteiner basses. Imported by the same company as the Morelli and Pfretzschner basses. Same label in all.

I like his playing there with that fast run he does on occasion. I have never see that bass with him.
