Recession/ New Bass rates...

I was just wondering: with the current condition of the U.S. economy (crazy gas prices, impending recession, crazy monetary conversion rates), how does this effect the rate of imported new basses?

It will depend a bit from where you are importing.

It doesn't help. That's for sure.

Even shipping overseas from USA is much higher. Partly due to the Gas prices but also because on the Low Dollar as compared to the currency in the country you are shipping to.

A few weeks ago I quoted the cost to ship a Smith Bass to somewhere in Europe. When I did the shipment, my cost was more than 10% higher than I had quoted. I had to 'eat' the difference as I was already paid by the customer.
