Italian Instrument Maker

I recently acquired a Giovanni Leoni bass made in Parma, Italy. The only information I found on the internet was from a list of European luthiers which only said he "made good instruments". I'm curious to learn more about Giovanni Leoni.

I'm hoping that someone here may have more information about this luthier, perhaps from your luthier literature or personal experience.

Any information would be appreciated.

I have no idea about the maker or if the instrument you found is authentic to that name. It is hard to tell sometimes a real maker from some of the Hungarian counterfeit makers.

Post pictures of the bass if you can and maybe something can be learned.
