Dave Martin's project

Hey, folks - since I'm a regular reader of this board (but don't post all that often) I wanted to share a recent double bass project with y'all. If you'll point your browser to:
http://www.reverbnation.com/paradiseridgestringensemble

you may understand why I have a certain amount of difficulty answering the 'what kind of music is it?' question. It has elements of bluegrass, classical and (since improvisation is a big part of the project) jazz, but I generally just tell folks that it's 'fun' music. Or I make up a new genre description the spot...

As a side note, I made up the project and recorded and mixed at my place with some frighteningly talented musicians helping out.

I'm playing my early 60's Juzek if y'all are interested.

Let me know what you think!
