...and, of course, the 'collateral damage' on the other side. Oren, my friend, I don't mean to be disrespectful but, both sides die in a war. Ordinary people die in someone's power struggle. We don't need wars; and they are never justified.

Richard, you're not being disrespectful, you're using one of those basic freedoms that every country should have - freedom of speech. One of many "freedoms" that, and I can't speak for other countries, American soldiers have fought for, along with a long list of other basic freedoms. You are correct that ordinary people die, but I would add that extraordinary people die as well. Those power struggles are often for more than just power. Complete dominance to the extreme is often the case. I agree that we don't need wars, but they are a sad reality of the human race. My friend Richard, it's my opinion that they will continue until Judgement Day. Now, go to bed and get a good nights sleep, or not.

Thanks, I got a very good night's sleep - I had to go to the doc yesterday to get something checked out that I'd been worried about for quite some time... turns out that it's just a little hernia. My wife always says,
"Don't sweat the small stuff."
I'll listen to her next time ,and go to the doc earlier!

Glad your hernia is a little one and nothing else. You see Richard, if you'd get you one of those "fridge" cabs (Ampeg SVT 8-10, Acoustic 370 1-18,) at least I might could hear you and you'd have a worthwhile reason for your hernia. :)

I dropped my hammer on my foot, last weekend, and said the same thing.

I've seen the video of the speech in which MLK exclaimed this. He was behind a podium, so I'm not sure if the hammer dropped or not. I'm sorry to hear that yours did. So, I guess you can now add a new verse to the song If I Had Hammer. I'm also hopeful that you didn't sustain a hammer toe in this instance. :)

We call them hammer head sharks. I suppose because their heads look like hammers. We don't call our hammers, for some reason, sharks. Isn't that weird?

Have any of my compadres here had a close encounter with a shark? And, of course, I'm referring to oceanic sharks. Richard, I'm sure that down there, (NZ) you've certainly had experience with our salt-water bigmouths with sharp teeth. :)

Southern Comfort, now, that's one of the drinks I never tried while I was at it - what about it? You see, first I thought it was just another Whiskey in the vein of Jack & Jim, but it turned out I was wrong. Maybe I missed something?

What you missed with Southern Comfort, my friend, is a blend of whiskey, fruit and spice with a touch of Nawlins (that's New Orleans for non-Southerners) that's given it's share of comfort over the years. :D
