Wilhelm Uebel, Markneukirchen c.1880, with Handmade Chromatic Ebony C-Extension.
(Formerly owned and used by world famous Latin bassist Victor Venegas)

A beautiful 19th century German Bass made on the famous French Solo Pattern of the late 1800's.


This Bass can be heard here on the 1963 recording of 'Canta Bajo', bass solo by Victor Venegas with La Lupe and Mongo Santamaria.

Upper Bout; 19 3/4"
Middle Bout; 14 1/4"
Lower Bout; 25 1/8"
Ribs (not including plates); 7 5/8" (Upper Bout tapers from 7 1/2" to 5 3/8" at the Neck)

Fully restored in 2010 by Mike MaGee in Pittsburgh, Pa./C-Extension recently re-built and modified by Keiran O'Hara/O'Hara Fine Instruments, Brewster NY
