Smith Classic Wax Polish

Is there any reason not to use (sparingly) Smith Classic Wax Polish on the headstock and neck of a Smith bass with a varnish over oil finish? Okay to use the same polish on the fingerboard too? Works great on body! Thanks. KC

Any part of the bass with that finish which is all of it including the fingerboard. Just don't use too much of it or you will be wiping more off than in.
