Engelhardt Basses
I live in a small city in the midwest and mainly play jazz and orchestra music on entry-level 3/4 Engelhardt basses. I have tried Shens and Calin Wultur basses (hybrid and carved) when visiting larger metro areas, and in my opinion, they blow the entry-level Engelhardts away.
I'm curious if any of you are fans of higher-end Engelhardt basses and what kind of music do you play. How much nicer are the higher end models? Thanks. |
high end models?

Neck-set, Fingerboard and bridge costs to replace and repair properly in a professional bass shop can cost more than the bass itself in the low end market. If the bass is made with less than optimum parts don't expect it will be worth fixing after buying one. It wont. Buy it right the first time. |
