What Kind Of Cable Do You Run From Your Bass To Your Amp?
I was wondering what every one uses. I have used the monster cable made for bass for the last 10 years. I bought this cable because I have always heard they were the best. Are they really the best? I have always believed in (if it aint broke don't fix it) rule of thumb, but if there is really something better out there I will give it a try.

I use the cheap crap cables that cost $15 for 25 feet, etc. The set I use now are what I've had for the last 10 years. Not a single one has failed.

After experimenting with George L cables I may be going back to soldered cables. It seems like the George L's constantly fail to make a good connection. I'll repair one at home only to have failure on a gig.

I have made my decision. "IF IT AINT BROKE DON'T FIX IT." I will stick with Monster.

Cables
I'm using Mogami instrument cables, though I still use Monster speaker cables.

Yep.
Mogami is another good cable. ;)

Snap Jack Cable
http://www.zzyzxsnapjack.com/
I just purchased snap jack cable. I must admit - why did not anyone think of this before. I not sure if this cable degrades the signal from my smith bass - they sound normal to me. The primary benefit - when you change the cable, or something/someone steps on your cable - you do not get that buzz. I am concerned if the weight of the cable end is too much for a smith bass. I will keep everyone posted. I am not an endorse - just a customer. I got this cable specifically for my Ken Smith basses; my wooden women. |
