"It was a Very Good Year" (or 3), not the Sinatra version..lol

I have two Basses that were made, dated and labeled in 1875 and a third I sold a short while ago made and 'stamped' in 1873, just two years earlier. All three of these Basses were made with fairly broad shoulders but the 1873 was cut down in 1937. Each were made in different parts of the world as well. One in Naples Italy, one in Belgium and one in New Hampshire, USA.

This thread is just to show that in the same year(s) but different parts of the world, Basses were being made both similar and different simultaneously.

They are shown here in order; the Batchelder, the Mougenot and the Loveri.

The last shown is the Loveri which shows evidence from the original Purfling under the upper Button Plate in the Back that it was made as a Cello shape much like that of the Vuillaume model Mougenot.
