Im the second owner of the Bass,Got it from Tim back in Dec,String spacing was just not comfortable for me.Like Tim, I learned at an early age to take care of all of my Bass no matter High end...

buckle rash!!!
What I do is turn my belt buckle to the side a little so it does not dig into the back of the bass, And you still have the belt to help!!!!
