flight cases

With the :confused: newer weight restrictions the cases like Gage and Stevenson are increasingly impossible to use on many airlines. We really need protective cases no heavier than about 15-16 kgms...

Wow that is an impressive looking instrument. Does the guitar shape have any advantages or disadvantages for practical playing comfort? I never have tried one myself. Funny how a long stop doesn't...

Well just for interest here is a 2002 bass hand made by Melbourne (Australia) luthier Ben Puglisi. It plays easy and sounds very good - full, even and and mellow.

On the topic, as you mention whether this should be in sections for jazz/pizz and classical/arco it strikes me that before the "improvement" of metal strings these categories may not have even rated...
