hmmm, tools aren't usually screwed onto an instrument. Not that I have a problem with using some hardware to affix a tall saddle, but that's a bit much. I'm sure it works fine and everything though.

Squared corners (Dodd)
Anybody have some good detail photos of those big squared-off corners, or want to comment on what the deal was with that? Was is exclusive to Dodd? I can't think of another bass that I've seen made...
