My lock is Ebony... When I open and close it the lock nut loosens up I guess... I need to add a washer or something but dont want to make it vibrate at all... If i tighten it up...its good...

I think the reason it looks different is since the wood is cut crossing the grain rather then along with it like on tobias basses and other lacewood tops ive seen...

Each string has its own feel... The compressors are really easy on your fingers if you do alot of sliding etc... they have a little bit of a smoother feel to them...
