maybe they are old holes after all......

When I did the 9th a couple of years ago I used my English Gilkes (Samuel) that's only a 41" length. That last page is a killer..

I've always liked the look of hat peg tuners....that is until I had an extension installed on my current bass!

The G tuner is positioned perfectly to stop my hand in it's tracks when reaching...

Thanks for the info, Ken. The year on the label is 1912. The czech attribution does seem to make sense: when I bought the bass about a year ago I heard the dealer mumble something about it previously...
