How is the bass? What information can be provided that would be more to know about than the bass itself in your hands and/or inspected inside? He dates from the late 18th to the early 19th century. Pre-Vuillaume in style. I have seen two pictured and heard of another that was as they described it, 'very big'. Basses might be stamped inside the back if not labeled.

Need more? His favorite book? Favorite food? Hobbies? Sports?

Post some pictures of the bass if you can.

I have a picture of a bass I saw years ago when looking for/at basses and the Scroll was the same with the built-in raised cheeks as this so that was probably this same maker but was Gamba shaped;


This scroll/pegbox may be the best way to ID them as it looks to be his trademark.
