In '99 it was a 3-pc nk, not 5 and the circuit was the 9v, not the 18. The core is tiger maple. It is the same bass we make today if ordered but we are not doing Bubinga at the moment. In it's place for all usages we offer Shedua instead. Same kind of wood for the most part in a different color.

I hope this helps. Other than the exact day the bass was finished (which is on the back plate inside) or the place it was shipped to, my records will not tell any more than I just did. I can tell more by looking at the bass than looking up the number. It's just a number with basic information.

One thing I can see is this bass needs some Smith Strings on it, That would make it closer to original and have the balanced set any neck deserves.
