Hi there. I've posted a couple of times already, but here goes:

I live in Kingston, Ontario Canada, and have been playing bass since the late '80s. I've played in a wide variety of bands from Grateful Dead jam bands to Folk, to Funk, and now I'm back in a Grateful Dead band of my own creation. I've been using a 1968 Fender Precision (fretless) and a 1969 Jazz for many years, but finally got my hands on a Ken Smith. I just purchased a 1987 BT6, and have been playing it non-stop since I got it about 1-1/2 weeks ago. I love this instrument and I want to find out as much about it as possible.

A friend pointed out this particular bass as being identical to one that Phil Lesh owned in the 80's, so it's highly appropriate for my life and music at the moment.

I studied piano from age 10 to about 20, French Horn in public and high school, but my first love has always been bass.
