I don't know what Ken McKay dug up other than the pictures. That you will have to ask him. On the Lucarini, I am not looking to buy one. Only that I saw one apart sitting idle so I asked if it was for sale as-is. We never got to talk money on it. It was just a casual inquiry.
On having a good sounding Cornerless bass, I happen to own two of them.
One of them being a bass I will put up against 'anything' you can find. The other is a good old Italian but was in poor shape when I bought it so I don't know all its potential. Just that it sounded good, sweet and Italian. Both of my Cornerless old Italians are in restoration now. I do not expect to see them back here this year. Until then, I will just play the Martini.
