The wide grain is one thing but if it's wavy at all like my previous
Jacquet-Gand then that makes it even harder. Also, there is some small 'fleck' in the grain of this wood. I think your bass has darker varnish than the 'golden brown' used on the Jacquet's that will also make it slightly easier for you to match up. Best of luck with the project.
