Hey. I've just become the proud owner of a 1987 BT6. It has the original strap still with it! I'd like to take the strap locks off that strap and put it on another strap, but I can't figure out how to remove them.
Anyone have any advice? I can add pictures if you need to see what I'm talking about. Thanks! |

I figured it out. Just a small screwdriver can be inserted in a little slot and they pop right out. Be careful they don't pop too far away though

Yes, those little lock rings are on there tight and we use a Pliers to snap them on. Easy to break a fingernail. This is the best product though for the strap and bass. Been using it since 1976 or so.

aha! I really should look around more on the site. Just found the page with the Dunlop strap loks. I will pursue my mission of getting a backup or new set just in case.
On a side note: not sure if I should post a new thread or not... but I would love to have a copy of the original specs or manual (if such a thing exists) for my bass. Is that something that can be emailed in PDF form? I like manuals ... Thanks for your help... and thanks for this bass. It is a wondrous instrument that I will enjoy getting to know for many years ![]() Last edited by ajhodge; 12-07-2017 at 03:22 PM. |
