(original invoice for repair of a double bass top broken at Trianon in 1810, signed by Napoleon's luthier, and stamped and signed by officials of the court. Only $822 ... its a steal!) |

I get distracted ...
searching for a book on a sailing adventure then digressing my search keywords toward my bass obsession ... I wish I knew what "Petits trous d'epingles Etat des frais" was all about. I know what it means literally, but it doesn't make any sense. It sounds like a nice historic piece of bass memorabilia though. |
