Craig, you make a very good point. Yes, Amway is the problem because each bass player would have to be supplying strings to another four bass players and so on; until just about everone was sitting around trying to put on bass strings. Obama playing b5 chords? From what I've heard about your new president, he'd probably have no problems improvising diminished scale notes over a minor II - V7 progression or playing a diminished whole tone lick over a 7#5 chord - I think this boy has got the goods!
In the interest of keeping this thread on track though, I'm going to do a bit of redefining:
Bass players who have also been a pope*


*This is widened to include Roman Catholic Cardinals, Medicine Show Preachers, anyone who has seen the film 'The Bible' starring Charlton Heston in a cinema, any American President and people who like to meditate. It excludes anyone involved in a pyrimad selling scheme and it also excludes John Key.
