1/4 Jacks...
In the 10 + years I've been playing MANY Smith Basses, I've only had to replace one 1/4 jack and I mainly use the straight 1/4 cable ends (Monster Cables I might add).
 That was back in 1999 on my KSA 6. It was simply a bad jack that had a short; had nothing to do with the cable used. Ken sent me a new jack, I replaced it in about 2 minutes, end of story.
