![]() Had a dress rehearsal last night. So far so good. For this style of show(mostly 1930's), they sound perfect. In fact it pretty well nails the sound. I am using a bit of amplification on this gig however(Full Circle into an MB150). Just enough to give it some fullness. I can probably play the whole show acoustic with the Tyrolean, but that will have to wait... Anyway, the strings as you say Ken really emphasize the fundamental without a lot of ringing overtones. It is far easier to hear pitch. I am playing 95% pizz with these(for this show).

![]() Just a quick note. The Flexocor experiment is over at least for now. They sound GREAT for that old school 20's/30's 2 beat, and early swing especially through an amp. They seem to have a thickness and fundamental that you don't see in a lot of strings. However, they don't have the sustain on my bass to be effective for Jazz gigs. Spirocores are back on for now...
