Quite a few people are making Double Basses in USA now. I wouldn't say that we are competing with the high production from abroad but at least in the quality area we are putting up a pretty good fight..

as a native of wisconsin from just outside the fox valley i would like to mention Oshkosh Truck as being an american company still making quality products in the usa.
i wish i could mention Oshkosh Bgosh, but if memory serves me right, they bailed to mexico after nafta was signed
