Seeing that this thread has morphed into a life of it's own I have to add that Glock pistols are entirely manufactured in Austria

Maybe so, but Sig Sauer is made in USA (New Hampshire). I know, Germany too.

There is a large Glock facility in Marietta, Ga. It appears that it is only a warranty service and distribution facility, but in the 80's everyone called it the "Glock plant". Apparently it was only for warranty service and not full assembly or manufacture. Sorry about the mistake.
