Dear Ken,

Thank you for your answer.
Maybe the wood is not Italian, but the construction of the instruments is completely made in Italy.
Mayhap for USA the italian luthiers have higher prices.

In 2016 I played a wonderfull basse by Panelli. Great sound and very very good tonal blend.
The problem is that it was a 4 string and as I’m playing in professionals orchestras, I need a 5 string basse.
I spoke with Mr. Panelli and he is constructing instruments only if I pass a order before. He has a lot of orders and there is a waiting list of about one year.
For that reason I would like to have some advices of people who already played a 5 string basse by Mr. Antonio Panelli.

Kind regards
