![]() Here we have a beautiful Orchestra/Solo model, "Pietro Lombardi" made by Eastman Strings in 2010, beautifully preserved. This bass is extremely loud and full sounding. Plays great with the Bow or Pizz and was tested first with an old worn set of Evah mediums and then re-strung with new set of Helicore's, back to back. Usually the Helicore strings take time to break-in, but on this bass, to my surprise, it was an instant improvement.
Measurements: String Length: 40 3/4" Top/Back Length: 43 1/2" Upper Bout: 19 1/2" Middle Bout: 13 3/4" Lower Bout: 25 3/4" Ribs: 7 7/16" (8 1/2" w/T&B), 6 1/4" at Neck (7" w/T&B). Top: Spruce with even grain. Back and Ribs: highly flamed Maple Neck/Scroll: plain grain Maple Varnish: beautiful light red over gold with some slight crackle patina. |
