I have played and own many Smith basses, but for some reason, this bass sounds a little tighter and crisper than my other Smith basses, but you are right Bob, all my Smith basses sound great.

Well, I added a new smith to the family last week... an 03 BSR6GN Maple / Walnut / Maple...
Its on the right in these pix along with my BMTE6G and BSR6EG I was really hoping to find a LOCAL 5 string fretted for sale, but I stumbled across this one... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

My BMT has seen probably more play, but with the laquer finish, it protects my nails from digging into the wood in the same places... on my BMT you can see dents in the laquer but no damage to the wood... but the finish on that bass is nice and fast on the neck!
