More on Pics I found (of me)
I got this pic today from an old friend thru Facebook that used to work for me as a Rep back in the early 1980s. He (Gil Griffith) also worked for Sun (Amplifiers) back then so that's the Amp we had in the booth then. This was from a NAMM show. Yes, I was once young an handsome. No photo shopping here.. lol I started another Thread of Pics I found with me playing the DB but this pic here needs its own page. |

That's Gil on the left who posted these Pics, my first ever sales Rep from the early '80's. I did a Guitar show in NY last year and who do I run into like it was yesterday, the same guy. Gil Griffith.. |

That as the Twin to Anthony Jackson's first 6 we made for him. I made 2 necks and completed the 2nd bass sometime after the first. That Bass went to Bill Dickens.

Smith Jacket
Ken, do you recall how many of those Smith Jackets (like the one hanging up in the center of your pic) were made?

Not many. Maybe 20-30 or so. I can't remember. I probably bought them a few at a time. The were hand embroidered so an order of 6 was costly. A few years ago I gave one of mine to a Niece on my wifes side. Trust me, it fit her a lot better than it did me then.

Ahh....
I came across one of these jackets about 5 years or so ago. Ended up being too small for me, so, I passed it on to another. Very nice and well made jacket though. Wish it would've me fit better.

Seems like that 6 string had a lot of tweaking stuff
on there. Oh, I remember what it was like to have hair back then. LOL |

Regardless, that's not what we make now so I wouldn't get too excited. I am sure what we currently make is better all around. |
