Pick Boy Lock Pins!
Hey. I've just become the proud owner of a 1987 BT6. It has the original strap still with it! I'd like to take the strap locks off that strap and put it on another strap, but I can't figure out how to remove them.
Anyone have any advice? I can add pictures if you need to see what I'm talking about. Thanks! |

I figured it out. Just a small screwdriver can be inserted in a little slot and they pop right out. Be careful they don't pop too far away though

Dunlop Strap Loks!
Yes, those little lock rings are on there tight and we use a Pliers to snap them on. Easy to break a fingernail. This is the best product though for the strap and bass. Been using it since 1976 or so.

aha! I really should look around more on the site. Just found the page with the Dunlop strap loks. I will pursue my mission of getting a backup or new set just in case.
On a side note: not sure if I should post a new thread or not... but I would love to have a copy of the original specs or manual (if such a thing exists) for my bass. Is that something that can be emailed in PDF form? I like manuals ... Thanks for your help... and thanks for this bass. It is a wondrous instrument that I will enjoy getting to know for many years Last edited by ajhodge; 12-07-2017 at 02:22 PM. |
